Controller & Accountant Intern

Job Description:

The selected candidate will join the Finance Department, supporting both the Accounting and Management Control / Business Analysis functions of the Group.
The internship represents an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting, business performance monitoring, and management reporting within a dynamic and highly specialized financial services environment.

Accounting:

* Supporting daily accounting operations and bookkeeping activities
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Supporting account reconciliations and verification of accounting records
* Assisting with the management of invoices, accruals, and financial documentation
* Supporting compliance with accounting principles and internal procedures

Management Control & Business Analysis:

* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
* Assisting in the preparation of management reports and business performance dashboards
* Monitoring key financial and operational KPIs
* Supporting profitability analyses and cost control activities
* Contributing to data collection, analysis, and presentation for management decision-making
* Assisting in the automation and optimization of reporting processes, primarily using Excel and other analytical tools

Candidate Requirements:

* Master's Degree (completed or ongoing) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Management Engineering, or related fields
* Strong interest in Accounting, Corporate Finance, Management Control, and Business Analysis
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
* Strong analytical and quantitative skills
* Good knowledge of accounting and financial reporting principles
* Fluent Italian and good command of English, both written and spoken
* Availability for a full-time internship of at least 6 months

Nice to Have:

* Previous academic or internship experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit, or Controlling
* Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
* Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or data visualization tools
* Interest in financial markets and the banking industry
* Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance productivity and reporting activities
