Internship: Production Process & Procedures

Job Description:

THE INTERNSHIP

For our site in Fornovo San Giovanni we are looking for a candidate to join Production Department, within the Production Compliance Team. During this formative period, you will have the opportunity to understand the role and the importance of the function within a Company that produces Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) destined to the manufacturing of drugs for Human Pharma. Furthermore, you will acquire skills performing transversal activities and dealing with a multinational company context. Definitely something new to learn every day! 

Tasks & what you will be learning:

The intern will work closely with expert company employees. This daily collaboration will allow to understand the Good Manufacturing Practices and to adapt/use them within various company fields, such as:
Production documentation
* The importance of proper setup and preparation of production documentation (batch records, logbooks, labels), before starting the production activities;
* The importance of the proper registration of all the operations prescribed by Batch Records, checking the documentation and activities directly on production workshop;
* The importance of the proper retention of the documentation related to the production of each Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient batch;
Standard Operative Procedures (SOPs)
* Scope and importance of the SOP, the writing of an SOP and related training;
* The role of Production Compliance in the preparation of SOPs and the alignment of SOPs to guidelines;
Production process
* Synthetic processes, equipment and material flow needed for the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients;
* Collection and analysis of process data for preparing the monitoring documentation, in order to maintain the proper validation status (Continuous Process Verification);
* Change Control concept and its impact on product quality, safety and process validation;
* Deviation management and impact evaluation for batch release and CAPA concept (Corrective Action/Preventive Action, in order to correct or prevent the repetition of the deviation);
 

Requirements:

* High School Degree in scientific subject (Industrial Technical Institute for Chemistry, Scientific High School) ;
* Bachelor or master's degree in chemistry, CTF or Pharmacy is a plus;
* Languages: Fluent Italian and scholastic knowledge of English (level B2);
* Good knowledge of Ms Office (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
* Curious and analytical attitude, propensity for continuous improvement, innovation and teamwork;
