The Electrical Validation Engineer Intern contributes to the functional, power and performance, and/or electrical validation of Intel's silicon products. In this role, you will support debug activities, performance characterization, and validation coverage to ensure product readiness, reliability, and overall quality.
You may also assist in:
* Developing or improving test automation
* Performing data collection, analysis, and reporting of validation metrics
* Supporting the development of validation infrastructure, scripts, and tools
* Setting up, executing, and maintaining test environments used across validation labs
As an intern, you will learn and apply engineering concepts, build hands-on technical skills, and work closely with experienced engineers. You will gain exposure to real validation workflows and contribute to projects that support Intel's business goals in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
* Execute electrical, functional, and/or performance validation tests on silicon components.
* Assist in debugging electrical issues and documenting findings.
* Analyze large datasets to extract validation metrics, trends, and insights.
* Develop or modify automated test scripts to support validation execution.
* Help maintain test setups, measurement equipment, and validation environments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, validation, and architecture.
* Support day-to-day validation activities and contribute to continuous process improvement
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronical Engineering, System Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent field.
* 6 months of experience in hardware for data center platforms.
* Advance English level.
* Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Basic knowledge in the use of measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, or logic analyzers.
* Self-driven, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Basic understanding of platform-level configuration.
* Foundational knowledge of computer links and interfaces, including Ethernet, USB2, eMMC, SATA, PCIe, USB3, and other I/O technologies (highly desirable).
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
* Basic to intermediate skills in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Bash).
