Risk & Compliance Intern (Voluntary Internship)

Job Description:

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Risk and Compliance Team in ensuring the Company's adherence to all relevant laws, rules, and regulations, with a dedicated focus on digitizing and automating regulatory compliance knowledge.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Regulatory Content Design and Development
* Support the development of RegTech initiatives
* Research, organize, and summarize complex Philippine regulatory requirements (including IC circulars, AML, Data Privacy, and FCPA provisions) to create a comprehensive knowledge base.
* Structure the regulatory content into clear, concise, and searchable data points, mapping out the conversational flow and decision-tree logic for user interface.
* Coordinate with the Company's DPO to ensure all functions and data processing align with the latest guidance on the application of the Data Privacy Act (DPA) to AI Systems.
2. Regulatory Monitoring and Reporting
* Use AI tools to monitor the issuance of and summarize new laws and regulations relevant to the insurance industry.
* Assist in updating the Compliance dashboard with Key Risk Indicators (KRI), regulatory submission schedules, and the regulatory calendar.
3. Compliance Testing and Training
* Perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure factual accuracy and compliance with source regulatory documents.
* Assist the Risk and Compliance Team in developing compliance e-training programs for all employees, particularly materials related to AML and Data Privacy

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree / 4-Year Course in Legal Management, Business Administration or Political Science.
At least a 3rd year college student in a related field is accepted.
Any AI-related training or experience
Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Keen interest in AI
A strong interest in technology and its application to compliance processes (RegTech)
Ability to quickly read, interpret, and organize large volumes of legal or regulatory text
