Job Description:
We are looking for an intern to join our Communications & Marketing division from May-Jul 2026.
The intern will primarily support the Digital & Social team with research and the operations of our social channels, while also providing ad-hoc support for our website. The role involves diverse tasks, offering the intern the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn best practices in managing Digital & Social channels.
Project Scope
* Research on new social and communication channels, trending and usage across private and public sectors, that could be applied to IMDA's overall strategy.
* Research how other brands and gov agencies have successfully adopted influencer marketing.
* Support the development and update of playbooks for social media channels, documenting best practices, learnings and platform-specific guidelines to facilitate consistent and effective account management.
* Support the team and work with agency on content ideation and creation for IMDA's social channels (Tik Tok, IG, FB etc.)
* Collect data, support Social Manager with the analysis of content performance and propose ideas for optimising audience engagement across all social media channels.
* Assist in SEO-related tasks for the website, eg. coordinate the rectification of meta descriptions, broken links etc.
* Assist the team in the reporting of comms & marketing performance.
* Assist the team with the set-up, monitoring and management of social media accounts and website for IMDA's new initiatives.

Skills Required
* Strong communicator, with background knowledge in Marketing
* Social media savvy, tuned in to local trends and social conversations
* Excellent writing skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Familiar with creative tools such as Canva & Capcut
* Candidates with experience or an aptitude for video content creation (hosting, filming and editing etc.) will have a significant advantage. Please include your content creation portfolio for consideration.
* Experience in developing AI agents or scripting automation tools/workflows would also be an advantage
