F&B - Trainee

Get cultured with us and take part in our unique social scene right in the heart of Madrid. We are looking for a student to join our team as a Guest Experience F&B Trainee.
During your internship with us, your duties will include:
* Welcoming every guest and acting as the point of contact between the guest and all the hotel's operational departments.

* Escorting guests to their reserved area and verifying all details in the service order before the event begins, ensuring Thompson Madrid standards are met.

* Preparing the workspace for service.

* Providing direct service to guests regarding food and beverage consumption.

* Monitoring and checking stock and equipment used in the section.

* Assisting with the setup, service, and breakdown of buffets.

* Informing and advising guests on the ingredients and composition of items on the restaurant menu.
* Handling payment processing and performing the cash reconciliation at the end of the shift.
* Adhering to the company's established health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
* Working flexibly with the entire Food & Beverage team as required by operations across the various outlets.
Regarding the requirements we are looking for:
* This is a full-time, paid internship (Monday to Friday schedule).
* A mandatory requirement is the ability to sign an internship agreement with your school or educational institution. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications that do not meet this requirement.
* English proficiency is very important to us; therefore, this internship requires fluent or advanced English skills.
* Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of accounting software, P&L statements, and balance sheets is highly valued.
