Texas Instruments is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Intern to be responsible for evaluating and supporting our manufacturing operations.
Shadow and support supervisors in overseeing daily production activities across assigned shifts or work cells
* Coordinate crew assignments, material flow, and shift handoffs
* Monitor production output, quality metrics, and downtime; compile and present findings to leadership
* Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and contribute to corrective action plans
* Build and maintain operational models to simulate and analyze production capacity, throughput, bottlenecks, and resource utilization
* Optimize production schedules and workflows to improve line efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimize idle time or WIP buildup
* Conduct time studies, work sampling, and line balancing analyses
* Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions based on findings

Candidate Requirements:
▋ Minimum requirements
* Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
* Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
▋ Preferred qualifications:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills - comfortable working on the production floor with frontline employees
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced preferred); experience with Excel VBA, SQL, or Python is a plus
