Parker Lord's Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. We pride ourselves in differentiating from our competitors by providing high technology solutions and the highest quality products. Our core competencies include machining and rubber-to-metal bonding, and we hold multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP.
Position Summary
The Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting the pre-bond engineering team by creating and updating production documentation including manufacturing instructions, standard work, router updates, and equipment procedures (EQPs). The Engineering Intern will assist in daily engineering tasks to support the production team in addition to performing time studies. They will also support Kaizens initiatives to promote a culture of continuous improvement and drive variance reductions.
Essential Job Functions
* Create and update pre-bond manufacturing instructions
* Create and update pre-bond standard work
* Perform time studies as needed
* Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing related discipline
* Current Junior or Senior
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
* Strong attention to detail and effectively documenting processes
* Proficient with Microsoft Outlook
