Job Description:Intern Students gain work experience that can be applied to future career goals. The work experience and projects are related the student's field of study and support Intermountain's mission, vision and values.
Located in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, Primary Children's Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center, and tertiary care children's hospital serving children and adolescents from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, and Montana. Primary Children's Hospital is owned by Intermountain Healthcare and is the pediatric specialty teaching hospital for the University of Utah School of Medicine. Student interns gain clinical and professional experience that relates to their field of study; supports Intermountain Health's mission, vision and values; and applies to their future career goals.

Job Specifics
* Pay Range: $12/hr.

Job Essentials
* Develop clinical skills related to providing biopsychosocial assessments and related diagnosis; creating treatment plans; performing risk assessment and crisis intervention; creating effective disposition plans; and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy.
* Education: opportunities include weekly interdisciplinary didacts, individual supervision, and teaching and learning rounds
* Participate in a variety of projects that support the needs of the department/facility
* Attend team/department meetings and actively participates and uses opportunities to share knowledge and skills that are pertinent to the topic
* Gain knowledge of the department's functions: may shadow various roles within the department in order to understand their role in the organization. Works with other members of the department to accomplish assigned tasks.
* May be assigned to one or more specific projects during the internship. Demonstrates an understanding of the process and accountability for the results and outcomes. Works independently or as a member of a team to accomplish the tasks necessary to successfully complete the project. Involves others when needed in a timely manner and works to meet project timelines.

Minimum Qualifications
* Current enrollment in and progressing through their education in a CSWE-accredited MSW program. Must provide documentation of enrollment in such program, as well as any earned degree or certification that may be required.
* Proficiency in the knowledge and skills in the field directly related to the internship opportunity.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
* Organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
* Ability to consistently maintain a positive rapport and demeanor with patients, families, and team members
* Demonstrate initiative and willingness to take on additional assignments when needed.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in related field
* Expertise with Microsoft Office suite
* Experience with Epic EMR
* Standing, walking, light lifting

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $7.25 - $999.99
