Be the Creative Source of Local Relevance
Act as a key creative source for locally relevant products, bringing fresh, market-driven ideas to the table
Create artworks, graphics, and design concepts that reflect local culture and consumer needs
Translate insights into distinct, desirable, and authentic product stories
Collaborate with product development in support of the Business Unit(s). Provide effective transition of product designs from prototyping into production
Key Responsibilities:
* Continuously conduct market, competitor, cultural, and consumer research to identify opportunities for new concepts, trends, and product improvements.
* Embed within the sourcing organization to ensure early decision-making on materials, construction, value engineering, and innovation opportunities directly tied to factory capability.
* Drive a co-creation way of working with T1/T2 suppliers and factory partners, leveraging their manufacturing expertise and capabilities from the earliest stages of ideation.
* Design and develop locally relevant and globally aligned apparel concepts informed by consumer insights, cultural observations, and regional market needs.
* Translate global brand direction and CTC briefs into clear creative concepts, strong narratives, and execution-ready designs.
* Ensure all design solutions balance innovation, aesthetics, performance, cost, speed, sustainability, and manufacturability.
* Maintain strong and continuous communication with Project Managers, CTCs, Development, and Materials to guarantee alignment, clarity, and timely information flow throughout the creation process.
* Provide comprehensive and accurate design handover packages (2D/3D sketches, artworks, BOM direction, trim/material indication) to enable seamless development execution.
* Partner closely with Product Development and Materials teams to engineer viable product solutions, ensuring technical feasibility, material readiness, and alignment with cost/margin targets.
* Lead and support the prototyping process, validating fit, function, quality, and manufacturability in collaboration with factory partners and LO/OC teams.
* Support the introduction and implementation of new materials, processes, and construction innovations into manufacturable product solutions.
* Co Create bold, performance-driven apparel concepts aligned with global brand direction, Categorie CTCs
* Build seasonal collections that are locally relevant and globally consistent
* Deliver strong storytelling through design, from concept to final execution
* Balance creativity with cost and margin expectations
* Make smart decisions on materials and construction to optimize value
* Ensure designs are both innovative and commercially viable
* Work closely with Project manager (direct reporting line) and CTCs to shape briefs and range direction
* Partner with Product Development to ensure designs are execution-ready
* Collaborate with T1 and T2 suppliers, CTCs, and factory partners to co-create and bring locally relevant products to life
* Communicates and coordinates all necessary information to Marketing, Design, Suppliers and LO/OC to ensure the effective and efficient creation of outstanding product
* Ensure that new projects are engineered to cost targets.
* Engineer workable prototypes which address desired function, cosmetics, market appeal and manufacturability and meet adidas quality standards.
* Prototyping and implementation of new & innovative designs, components, processes, materials and concepts into a manufacturable and marketable finished product
* Ensure that all materials, processes and development samples are fully tested to ensure adherence to adidas' quality standards
* Take ownership for the entire design process for assigned styles, with an emphasis on quality product development and timely completion of all tasks in accordance with the applicable operating calendar.
* Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Business Units, Brand , CTCs, product development ,Materials Development and Supply, Quality, , managing designated projects to ensure an on time color way activation performance.
* Support and guide Developers in the team in all aspects of Development.
* Conduct deep market research, including consumer trends, competitor analysis, and cultural movements ( to confirm Oli - Andre)
