Job Description:
The Plant Procurement Manager is the procurement representative in the Plant for direct procurement and the Plant representative in the Procurement function. He/she is a fully integrated member of the Plant Management Committee and acts as the key interface for all procurement-related performance. The Plant Procurement Manager is accountable for deploying Procurement strategy and processes within the factory by developing the Plant APOP (Annual Procurement Operating Plan). He/she ensures that plant-specific needs are properly reflected in Category Strategies. The PPM applies strong business acumen to drive procurement decisions that support operational performance, profitability, and long-term business goals.
What will you do:
Performance/Productivity: The PPM is accountable, with the support of the Material Productivity Leader, for the material productivity and the CSC (Consolidated Standard Cost) evolution
* He/she maintains continuous alignment with Regional Category Managers and Pole Managers to challenge and supports productivity targets
* He/she ensures the negotiation coverage of his/her plant(s) & their results.
* He/she identifies, with the MPL, new actions and constant challenge the pipeline growth
* He/she supports the MPL in managing technical and supplier change actions including escalation when required, ensuring timely execution
* He/she is monitoring & challenging the ODVC & other materials productivity results and RMI performance.
* He/she is accountable, with the monthly reconciliation committee (PPM, financial controller and MPL), for consistence of productivity reported in I-Save , reconciliated by Prism/ AOC.
* The PPM participates and presents during plant QBRs, committing to Material Productivity Rolling Forecast
* He/she monitors the evolution of CSC for the main product ranges within the assigned plants and actively contributes to related improvement actions.
Business continuity (including quality & delivery)
* He/she supports Plant Quality & Supply Chain Managers to achieve strong supplier performance and ensure resolution in case of escalation.
* He/she leads & chairs the monthly Supplier Performance Meeting with the Plant (SUPMAN)
* He/she informs and builds appropriate action plans for short/mid term Quality & Logistic risks coming from supplier market (with the support of the SQLD teams).
Plant APOP:
* Taking the category strategies into account, he/she cascades the Procurement strategy, actions and processes within the plant(s), as well as builds & monitors the Plant APOP validated by Plant & Category.
* He/she contributes to the definition of the Supplier Orientation Charts (SoC) and deploys it in the Plant considering plant(s) flow optimization.
* He/she supports the supplier development plan for the plant and monitors the supplier performance.
Resilience/Sustainability
* Resilience: He/she drives suppliers risks mitigation actions and contributes to strengthening the Power of 2 strategy.
* Sustainability: He/she coordinates and implements sustainable procurement initiatives
* He/She is responsible for procurement-related audits / KICKs campaign.
