What you'll build

We are looking for an AI Development Expert to join our Security and Quality Tools team within Hyperspace. We're seeking a passionate and skilled individual, who sits at the intersection of applied AI and developer tooling, and is excited about shaping how AI transforms the way we build and secure software.

In this role, you will architect and deliver AI-powered capabilities across our portfolio of security and quality tools, spanning from intelligent code analysis and vulnerability triage, to AI-assisted remediation workflows and developer productivity features. You won't just integrate existing AI APIs; you'll design the systems, patterns, and pipelines that make AI reliable and trustworthy inside enterprise-grade tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

* End-to-end AI features that directly improve how development teams detect, understand, and fix security and code-quality issues in their code, while adhering to the organizational product standards.

* Scalable architectures for LLM integration, including prompt engineering, MCP Servers, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning strategies, skills development and Agentic workflows across our tools ecosystem.

* Actively contribute to the development, operations and reliability of our solutions, and continuously refine the AI technical vision for the team.

* Your work will directly impact thousands of developers across the organization. By embedding intelligence into security and quality tooling, you'll reduce the cognitive overhead of vulnerability management, shorten feedback loops, and enable teams to ship secure software faster and with more confidence.

* The problems you'll take on are genuinely hard: making AI outputs accurate and explainable in a security and code quality context, preventing hallucinations in code remediation, handling context at scale across large enterprise codebases, and building AI systems that developers actually trust and use.

What you bring

Technical Expertise:

* 10+ years of strong software engineering foundation in one or more of: Python, Node.js, Golang, or Java - you write clean, production-quality code and can lead architectural decisions, not just prototype!

* Comfort working across the stack: from AI services, Microservices, APIs, Observability solutions, Setting up CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments on AWS/GCP/Azure.

* Deep hands-on experience designing and deploying AI/ML systems in production - including LLM integration, RAG architectures, Agentic frameworks, and prompt engineering at scale.

* Experience evaluating, selecting, and operating AI frameworks and tools (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, etc.) with a pragmatic, quality-first mindset.

Mindset and Soft Skills:

* An architectural thinker who can zoom-out to see the system, while staying grounded in implementation realities and can contribute to the implementation of such high-availability, fault-tolerant systems.

* A strong communicator who can translate AI concepts to non-specialist stakeholders and align a global, cross-functional team around a technical direction. Experience in Agile / SAFe methodologies is a plus!

* Innovator, Curious and Self-driven - you follow the field closely, innovate, and bring new ideas proactively, and can distinguish genuine signal from hype, and technically lead its implementation.

* A collaborator who raises the capability of those around them through mentorship, code reviews, incorporating architectural best practices and shared decision-making.

Nice-to-have but not a must

* Experience applying AI to security use cases: vulnerability explanation, automated triage, remediation suggestion, or threat modelling.

* Strong understanding of Security, Governance and Data/privacy considerations is essential.

* Contributions to open-source AI projects or published work in applied AI/ML.

* Background working in or with regulated, enterprise-scale software environments.

* Certifications in AI and/or cloud technologies like AWS / GCP are appreciated.
