About the Role

We are looking for a machine learning engineer to develop and industrialize practical ML solutions for manufacturing. In this role, you work with internal and external product and manufacturing data, contribute to building and maintaining the data foundations (ingestion, validation, cleaning, and feature preparation), and develop models and analytics features that are integrated into IT products for reliable day to day use. You contribute across the full lifecycle-data preparation, modeling, testing, documentation, deployment, user interfaces and operational follow-up-working in an agile team with clear quality expectations such as unit testing, peer reviews, and delivery according to agreed designs and the definition of done.

Experience from the manufacturing industry is a strong asset. Understanding processes, constraints, and the realities of production data helps you make sensible technical choices and focus on what delivers real value. We value someone who is comfortable working in a production environment where solutions are monitored, improved based on real usage, and supported when needed. The emphasis is on steady learning, sound engineering judgement, and building maintainable solutions that continue to operate reliably and improve over time.

What you will do

* Design, develop, and deliver enterprise-ready AI/ML features and use cases using internal and external product data

* Implement machine learning models and analytics solutions and integrate them into IT products

* Ensure high quality through unit testing, code reviews, compliance reviews, and end-to-end testing

* Deliver work according to agreed designs and the Definition of Done, following industry best practices

* Participate in peer reviews, defect resolution, and continuous improvement of AI/ML products

* Support in troubleshooting production incidents, identify root causes, and support timely resolution

* Monitor performance and usage of deployed solutions and identify improvement opportunities

* Document AI/ML products and features using agreed tools and standards

* Contribute to backlog refinement, story estimation, and agile ceremonies

* Work using Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD and operational collaboration

* Communicate progress, risks, and impediments proactively to the team and stakeholders

* Is curious and motivated to deepen their understanding of manufacturing, data, systems, and users

* Is comfortable working hands-on with data: cleaning, validation, joining sources, and basic pipeline thinking

* Focuses on clear, simple, and maintainable solutions rather than unnecessary complexity

* Takes pride in getting the fundamentals right (tests, documentation, readability, operational readiness)

* Is willing to support their work in production and learn from how it behaves in real use

Technical Skills Needed

* Data analytics and algorithm development mostly in Python language

* Machine learning and AI model development

* Working with large-scale datasets

* Distributed analytics platforms

* Basic understanding of cloud platforms and cloud-based software development

* Software product development and lifecycle management

* IT operations practices and production support awareness

* Analysis of and contribution to code written by others

Preferred Experience

* 2-3 years of experience in software product development and lifecycle management

* Hands-on experience with ML / AI / analytics use cases

* Mechanical engineering background or similar industry experience

* Experience working in enterprise IT environments

* Exposure to Agile and DevOps ways of working

* Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams (business, analytics, and technology)

* End user tool development

* Providing training for developed tools and concepts

Education and Certifications

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field

* English language proficiency

* Relevant certifications for used technologies are an advantage
