Responsibilities
Our Global Corporate & Investment Banking business focuses on building long-term relationships with financial institutions and financial sponsors. We provide advisory expertise, debt and equity product expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions. The Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group provides financial and advisory solutions to financial services clients across the globe. As an associate in the team you would play a critical role in leading the execution of strategic advisory (e.g. M&A, IPOs, Strategic Capital, LBO's etc.) and capital market transactions globally. The Financial Institutions Group is a leader in the industry, driving landmark transactions for our clients. Our practice has executed some of the largest and most complex financial services transactions in recent years - across a broad industry landscape including depository institutions, specialty and digital finance.
* Financial analysis of companies in target, analysis will include maintaining and updating comparable company trading analysis and transaction analysis
* Assume responsibility for monitoring targeted clients in terms of news and announcements
* Support on transactions across the banks products. Such support may include maintaining financial models, coordinating due diligence, managing working group lists and timetables
* Research on companies and industries and support on client initiatives including generating and developing new ideas to present
* Formulate and develop client pitch-books and analysis in addition to supporting other bankers within the team
* Build direct cross functional relationships with bankers in product and regional business units

What we are looking for
* Bachelor's degree (preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance)
* 1-3 years relevant experience
* Fluent in English and French
* Highly developed analytical and interpretive reasoning, and creative problem-solving
* Advanced technical proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong communication skills and ability to engage productively with senior management
* Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focus
* A track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities
* Ability to work collaboratively and under tight deadlines with minimum direct supervision
