About this Position
The Global Packaging Compliance Manager position plays a critical role in driving regulatory compliance and supporting the product development process across Henkel's global operations. This position is responsible for developing and executing the Packaging Regulatory Compliance strategy, including standards and initiatives for Dangerous Goods packaging. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills to manage complex projects and ensure timely, efficient completion of compliance activities. This role requires the ability to influence cross-functional teams, implement global standards, and maintain alignment with evolving regulatory requirements.
What you´ll do
* Establish and continuously evolve comprehensive packaging End-to-End compliance policies, processes, and work instructions across Henkel Adhesive Technologies, ensuring consistent execution and alignment with global regulatory standards and internal quality expectations
* Act as a central facilitator for packaging compliance-related decisions, managing escalations such as supplier non-compliance, and guiding top management through complex regulatory and operational challenges
* Continuously monitor and assess global, regional, and local packaging legislation relevant to the business, translating regulatory requirements into actionable technical specifications and leading their implementation and periodic review across Henkel divisions
* Serve as the global process owner for DG packaging approvals across all divisions and production formats including own manufacturing and third-party operations, ensuring legal compliance, suitability, and accuracy of packaging master data and change management
* Support the validation of new packaging technologies and materials, including recycled and innovative solutions, with a strong emphasis on packaging compliance - including Dangerous goods compliance - , ensuring safety, sustainability, and regulatory adherence
* Ensure packaging solutions meet Henkel's sustainability goals and comply with PPWR by implementing harmonized labeling, deploying Digital Product Passport, and aligning artwork with regulatory standards
* Oversee Conformity assessment and compliance documentation, assess portfolio gaps, and lead cross-functional workstreams to secure compliance
* Design and deliver general and specialized packaging compliance training programs, maintain global documentation standards for packaging specifications and artwork, and monitor system performance through KPIs, audits, and spot-checks
What makes you a good fit
* Master's degree in Engineering (Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical) or equivalent experience
* Minimum 4+ years in packaging compliance, engineering, procurement, or related fields with at least 2 years of international or intercultural work experience
* Strong understanding of regulatory and sustainability frameworks (e.g. PPWR, EPR, food contact material), packaging technologies and Dangerous Goods compliance
* Experience working in global, matrixed organizations and cross-functional project teams, detail-oriented approach to prevent errors
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
