Position:
Objective of this role is to define the procurement Indirect strategy in GRoW and drive the productivity agenda aligned with the ambition of the business units. Share the plan and tracking of progress with the BU LT's as well as deliver sustainable YOY productivity from the Indirect spend in Germany, Italy and Switzerland through understanding local market needs, partnership relationship with suppliers and alignment with GRoW MU for all Indirect Procurement related matters.
Role will have many dimensions:
* Lead Indirect Categories (ITPS and Make) : IT & Telcom, Travel and Events &HR Services, Professional Services, Temp Labor, Fleet, Commercial Services and Promotions, Energy & Hard Services, MRO, Facility Management) execution across GRoW in HQs, Plants and DCs, with an Integrated Category Management approach ensuring not only sourcing delivery but innovation, sustainability programs and delivery of myBuy targets in the MU.
* Lead and execute the implementation of FLTC and PCIL contracts in UK and Switzerland (CH) under HQ spend for Indirect categories: Facility Management, Energy only CH, Professional Services, HR Services, Travel and Events by collaborating with senior stakeholders and the sector legal team to ensure accurate execution and complete documentation.
* Develop and/or enable Indirect procurement strategies for GRoW through category expertise, market intelligence and close interaction with Global Category Leads and the EU Enablement team
* Identify key productivity projects/initiatives within Indirect categories, develop and align these with stakeholders and suppliers, and implement them to capture savings
* Ensure effective supplier relationship management: set up preferred supplier rosters, monitor and track supplier performance, and have periodic supplier review meetings
* Capture the value delivered from any procurement led or supported initiatives. Act as single point of contact for any Indirect procurement matters towards GRoW market and ensure full alignment of total Indirect productivity delivery with stakeholders and finance.
Responsibilities
* Increase procurement coverage GroW
* Maximize total delivery for GRoW from all areas of spend in Indirect and bottom-line impact by partnering with Global category Leaders and smooth execution of Global strategies in the market.
* Sustainably deliver productivity through total cost of ownership approach, category management and X-Functional partnership
* Develop and implement Indirect procurement strategies for the local categories through driving credibility and trust with internal stakeholders, PepsiCo purchasing community and suppliers.
* Build category expertise and market intelligence for Indirect categories in GRoW
* Implement Supplier Relationship Management, evaluation processes and relevant KPI's covering quality/ service / innovation / sustainability / value for Indirect categories
* Develop and share best practices via effective networking with Global and EMEA Indirect procurement team.
* Control and governance for Indirect categories in GRoW
* Own and manage Indirect categories on myBuy: ensure category cards & new supplier approvals are in place and updated. Is responsible for delivery of planned myBuy spend through and for savings delivery in categories of responsibility
* Ensure early, pro-active engagement with senior management and budget holders in the GRoW market to understand how the Indirect purchasing team can support the business agenda and ensure Indirect strategies are aligned with business needs
* Work closely with Finance teams to ensure Indirect value delivery is tracked, reported and captured, enabling senior management to make timely decisions on productivity capture or re-investment
* Coach and support development of local team (1) and indirectly the Indirect team in GCC - Cairo and Hyderabad.
* Is the first market point of contact for escalations in delivery of the services and interfaces consequently with external business partners, POC, sector process owners, procurement
* Ensure effective supplier relationship management: set up preferred supplier rosters, monitor and track supplier performance, and have periodic supplier review meetings
* Deliver cash-flow improvements by extending payment terms to the legally permitted days per country.
* Apply Global Control Standards in the processes under his/her accountability, comply with GP Policy and other applicable policies as periodically updated and communicated, and ensure correct execution and documentation of controls.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified
* A strong background in Indirect Purchasing within FMCG environment (10 years+)
* A strong background managing teams
* Excellent business acumen, knowledge of financial fundamentals and analytical skills
* Ability to lead and apply strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and total cost of ownership.
* Excellent understanding of the principles of general procurement management
* Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
* Ability to interact with key stakeholders and build trust at all levels of the organization
* Experience in managing local and international networking
* Languages: English mandatory; German and Italian are a plus
* Role requires a combination of strategic thinking & executional excellence
* Strong collaboration and influencing skills
* Ability to work in a team and lead/motivate a team
* Results orientated - comfortable identifying, setting & delivering against stretch targets
* Able to manage ambiguity - working within a complex, fluid, organizational environment with limited data visibility and diverse processes. Strong in collaboration & influencing
