Global Category Leader - Flow, E&I
In this REMOTE role, you must be based in EUROPE.
What is the purpose of the role?
The Global Category leader- Flow E&I will report into Global Category Management Team Leader. You will have circa an ~$80M spend portfolio and will be responsible for developing, validating and implementing the global Procurement strategy for sub-categories within the portfolio.
You will work with with Procurement Project/Product Leaders, Regional Category Leader, Technology, and Supply Chain Leaders.
What are the day to day duties?
* Define a Global Category Strategy for assigned Categories that drives continuous improvement within the Category and benefits to the business
* Develop/Manage Preferred Supplier Network and Strategic Suppliers
* Define Contracting Strategy and lead Supplier Negotiations
* Drive Cash Improvements across assigned Categories
* Mitigate Risks to the business by driving a comprehensive strategy that builds a flexible supply chain and ensures continuity of supply
* Develop Best Cost Country strategy
* Drive supplier relationship management processes
* Report to Leadership on Market Trends and Category Performance​
* General understanding of Direct material categories and water treatment technologies (products and operations).
* Familiarity with market trends and key suppliers in the relevant Categories.
* Knowledge of Supply base for Valves, Pipes & Fittings, Instruments, Analyzers, RO Pressure vessels
* Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing presentations and comfortable interacting with internal/external stakeholders and Water Tech senior management.

Qualifications:

What skills and background will you likely have?
* Bachelor's degree or time-served experience
* Solid experience in Category/Supplier Management, Purchasing, Production Control, Engineering, Product or Project management
* Experience in procurement of items in Flow, Electrical and Instrumentation Category
* Ability to travel - estimated to be 30% annually
