Primary Objective
The Technical Service Specialist is responsible for performing planned maintenance activities, hardware and software upgrades (TSBs), providing backup first-line (Level 1) service, and supporting instrument installations and deinstallations.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first-line technical service to Abbott Ambassadors (service interventions requiring less than 4 hours of labor)
* Schedule and perform planned maintenance (PM) activities
* Execute hardware and software upgrades (Technical Service Bulletins - TSBs)
* Support instrument installations and deinstallations
* Contribute to achieving customer satisfaction (NPS), service KPIs, and the district's economic growth and profitability
Education
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
* Bachelor's / Engineering degree in medical, electrical, mechanical engineering or medical technology preferred
Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in a similar technical service role, supported by management and customer references
* Strong customer engagement skills, particularly with laboratory staff
* Recognized technical expertise for the assigned product line
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Strong experience using analytical tools and technical software
