Profile Requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency are required.
- Recent Bachelor's or Master's degree graduate from a top-ranked university, or expected to graduate before joining.
- Less than one year of full-time work experience.
- Strong interest in corporate banking, financial markets, and the broader financial services industry, with a strong motivation to build a long-term career in finance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues across business units, support functions, and international locations.
- High level of professionalism, rigor, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Good understanding of risk awareness and regulatory requirements applicable to financial institutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word) and the ability to analyze data and prepare client-facing materials.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Available to join by the end of 2026.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Basic knowledge of corporate banking, financial analysis, or capital markets
- Prior internship experience in financial services, banking, consulting, or a related field.
- JSDA Sales Representative Qualification (Class 1) or willingness to obtain the qualification after joining.
Reporting Line
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Corporate Coverage, with day-to-day supervision provided by team members within the Coverage team. Performance evaluation will be conducted primarily based on the individual's day-to-day responsibilities and contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support relationship managers in the coverage and management of Japanese corporate clients.
- Assist in preparing client materials, financial analyses, credit applications, and internal reports.
- Conduct industry, company, and financial research to support business development activities.
- Coordinate with product partners and support functions, including Global Markets, Investment Banking, Trade Finance, and Credit Risk teams.
- Facilitate internal communication and collaboration with branches and business lines across the global network.
- Support client onboarding, KYC, loan transaction pricing simulation and execution, and other regulatory and compliance-related processes.
Contribute to business initiatives and ad hoc projects as required
