Job Summary:
Completes preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on engines and related components at the customer site with minimal direction.
We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Wabush, NL).
Shift: 14x14
* Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
* Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
* Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
* Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
* Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
* Maintain own tools

Mining Site
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred).
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Minimal level of workshop related experience required.
Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
Locally valid driving permit.

Candidate Requirements:
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
* Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
* Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
* Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.
* Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
* Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software
