Boeing Poland is seeking an Entry-Level Structural and Payload Design Engineer to join the Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) team located in Warsaw or Rzeszow, Poland.

The Structural & Payload Design Specialist will be performing design work, co-developing Scope of Work, supporting project planning, execution and monitoring, and supporting BDS technical leadership. The person in this role will be responsible for Structural & Payload Design technical deliverables, supporting the team during technical reviews.

Position Responsibilities:
* Assists with documentation of structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design
* Assists with development, maintenance and modification of payload/structures system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
* Assists with tests and/or documentation to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
* Works under close supervision

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform most work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
* Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as aircraft structure, manufacturing processes, cost and schedule drivers, materials and properties, design criteria, configuration control and release processes
* Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Solid grasp of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 (2009/2018) utilizing Model-Based Definition (MBD)
* Experience in mechanical and structural design, creating, executing and reviewing, structural design models/drawings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Experience working within cross-functional teams/Integrated Product Team
* A self-starter demonstrating efficient problem-solving and critical thinking skills
* Solid communicator and presenter being fluent in both written and spoken English

Additional Requirement:
The individual will be required to obtain clearance for work under military concession (regulated by act of 13 June 2019 on conducting business activities in the field of manufacturing and trading in explosives, weapons, ammunition and products and technology for military or police purposes).
