It's crucial to us that the differences we see in the world around us are reflected in our workplace. Who you are is what counts, not where you're from or how you live your life. A culture that values everyone benefits all of us. That's why, to help our people thrive, we champion a truly diverse and inclusive environment.
Would you like to discover how our diverse, hardworking people are leading the way in making energy cleaner and better - and how you can play your part in our extraordinary team?
Join our team and advance your career as a Europe HSE&C Advisor.
About the Role
As a Europe HSE&C Advisor, you will provide expertise to ensure that HSE&C risks within the Europe Performance Unit are identified, assessed, and effectively managed. You will support the delivery of the Global and Europe HSE&C plan and provide HSE&C guidance to manufacturing and other Performance Unit operations to ensure compliance with regulatory and bp requirements.
You will play a key role in driving consistency and a common approach across the region, intervening and escalating where needed to ensure corrective actions are taken based on HSE&C performance trends and conformance levels. In addition, you will provide HSE&C expertise and support to Castrol entities, ensuring legal compliance of in-country operations.
In this role you will:
*
Proactively influence key stakeholders to ensure compliance with all applicable HSE&C legislation.
*
Implement the HSE&C plan to support delivery of the Global Castrol HSE&C strategy and ensure bp and Performance Unit requirements are met.
*
Support leaders in building the HSE&C competence and training needed to fulfill their accountabilities.
*
Build enduring HSE&C capability across European manufacturing plants through effective training programs.
*
Ensure HSE&C risks are integrated into operational project decision-making and recommend appropriate mitigations.
*
Support implementation of HSE&C systems, processes, and tools, including OMS, Control of Work, risk management, personal safety, and process safety.
*
Lead employee and stakeholder communication and awareness initiatives related to HSE&C.
*
Implement fit-for-purpose HSE&C processes, including annual risk assessments, incident classification, reporting, notification, and investigations.
*
Support line management in maintaining conformance with external standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, OHSAS 18001, and other relevant standards.
*
Act as the single point of accountability for HSE&C, including deployment of training and programs for office, plant, and sales teams as required.
*
Support Castrol manufacturing sites and business events based on operational priorities.
What you will need to be successful:
*
University degree or equivalent work experience.
*
Formal HSE&C qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma) or a graduate degree in HSE&C is desirable.
*
Significant experience in HSE&C or operational roles with substantial HSE&C accountabilities.
*
Deep HSE&C knowledge in an international business environment.
*
Strong understanding of plant operational and technical environments.
*
Proven ability to think both operationally and strategically.
