Our Siemens business unit Motion Control (DI MC) is one of the world's leading providers of products, systems, solutions, and services in the field of Motion Control. This includes around 20,000 employees and the four business segments. At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics.
We are planning to expand our Oradea plant into an even larger, modern, and more powerful Siemens Mechatronic Competence Center! This isn't just an expansion; it is a true transformation. As part of this strategic business development, we will be building a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing area in Oradea. This new space will integrate critical parts of our production and associated support functions, creating a unified, high-performance hub for mechatronic expertise within Siemens.
Oradea will become one of Siemens' key competence centers, with new colleagues joining us, new technologies being implemented, and new capabilities strengthening our overall footprint.
Join our Engineering team as a Value Stream Specialist, responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and continuously improving end-to-end manufacturing value streams to enhance efficiency, quality, delivery, and cost performance
This will be your impact:
* Value Stream Management:
* Lead the identification, mapping, and analysis of current-state value streams.
* Design and implement future-state value streams to eliminate waste, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each stage of the value stream.
* PUMA Measures Focus:
* Performance: Drive initiatives to improve the speed, quality, and output of our processes. Analyze bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance throughput and cycle time.
* Utilization: Optimize the effective use of resources, including machinery, personnel, and materials, to maximize productivity and minimize idle time.
* Maintainability: Champion efforts to design and implement processes and systems that are easy to maintain, troubleshoot, and adapt, reducing downtime and operational complexity.
* Availability: Ensure the consistent and reliable operation of all critical assets and processes within the value stream, proactively addressing potential disruptions.
* Continuous Improvement:
* Facilitate and lead continuous improvement workshops (e.g., Kaizen events, Gemba walks).
* Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to identify root causes of issues and develop sustainable solutions.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving within the team.
* Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales, to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
* Communicate value stream performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives to all relevant stakeholders.
* Act as a change agent, influencing and guiding teams through process transformations.
* Data Analysis & Reporting:
* Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to value stream performance and PUMA metrics.
* Prepare regular reports and presentations on progress, achievements, and areas for further improvement.
* Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and prioritize improvement efforts.
This is how you'll win us over:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
* years of proven experience in Value Stream Management, Lean Manufacturing, or Operations Excellence roles.
* Strong understanding and practical application of Lean principles and tools (e.g., VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban).
* Demonstrable experience in driving improvements related to Performance, Utilization, Maintainability, and Availability (PUMA) metrics.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a complex environment.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, process mapping software, data analysis tools).
