JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be a member of the Human Development team working with Dr Noor Hidayatul Aini Suaini/Dr Hannah Yong. On-the-job training and mentorship will be provided.

The job responsibilities are as follows:

* Sample processing of gestational tissues (eg. placenta) and blood
* Performing nucleic acid, protein and lipid extractions; qPCR; immunoblotting/ELISAs
* Maintaining inventory and procurement of laboratory consumables
* Assist with analysis of experimental results
* Training and supervision of students/interns

JOB REQUIREMENT

* Diploma in Biomedical Sciences/Biological Sciences/Life Sciences or relevant fields
* Willingness to learn
* Knowledge and experience with molecular biology techniques will be highly valued
* Able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature, attention to detail
* Highly motivated, passion for science, committed to laboratory work and able to work flexible hours
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
* Candidates with relevant internship or FYP experience are welcome to apply
* 2-years contract, commitment to the position for at least 1 year
