Let's introduce ourselves

You will be an integral part of a new organization and real production in our state-of-the-art Paint Shop, pursuing our mission to provide the best manufacturing of products in color or non-color areas, that accelerate the world to sustainable energy. You will work closely with our engineering, and project teams in the early and stabilization phases of the Paint process development and equipment to identify manufacturing risks.

Location: Valaliky Industrial Park, Košice district, Slovakia

What you'll do

* Utilize strong engineering mindset and previous working experience from an automotive setting;
* Drive elimination of waste of time, money, materials, man-hours, machine time, quality losses, and other resources that do not generate value in shops;
* Update and distribute shop master data (e.g. Hours per Vehicle - HPV, Head Count - HC, Efficiency) and distribute shop efficiency targets;
* Support production in line balancing (e.g. line speed changes), introduction of new products/processes, Kaizen Workshops/M3MU, and other continuous improvement initiatives;
* Engineering Solutions Design - research and propose engineering solutions in line with VCMS (Volvo Cars Manufacturing System) and Line Back Principles, implement feasibility testing of proposed solutions, to provide feedback and contribute to validation of the design;
* Conduct business case and process improvement studies;
* Technical Troubleshooting - conduct routine troubleshooting tasks, including basic diagnostic and simple problem-solving related to equipment;
* Implement the standard (5S, Maintenance, Standardized Work) and train personnel in how to define and improve the standardized work;
* Create OIS and engineering drawings;
* Be the shop representative in the cross-functional project teams together with Manufacturing Engineering and Logistics;
* Be the shop specialist concerning process and product (including Pre-prod work, Engineering buy-off, Die buy-off for new programs);
* Carry responsibility for line layout (including material facade, placement of tooling) in running operation and in projects;
* Drive Best Practice sharing.

What you'll bring

* Several years of previous working experience in an industrial environment with applicable experience in pre-treatment, surface treatment and/or paint application;
* Preferred university education in Industrial/Mechanical/Material Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience;
* 3D/2D (AutoCAD) software skills are a plus;
* Analytic and engineering data reporting skills;
* Flexibility, being able not only to work under an organization in a transformation period, or green-field project, but thrive in such a fast-paced environment;
* Excellent technical communication and presentation skills, conversational in English, written and spoken, and preferably proficient in Slovak language;
* Not only an individual contributor attitude, but also a demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an occasional basis, although based in Košice, Slovakia.

Compensation Data

Monthly gross salary for this position starts from 2.000 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
