This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.The Associate, Field Technical Service Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for ensuring Alcon equipment functions effectively, solving complex issues, and recommending new products. You will build customer relationships and maintain service logs.
Specifics Include:
* Apply technical knowledge to perform tasks and support project goals effectively
* Ensure all Alcon equipment at customers' sites and demo equipment function as per specifications
* Identify and correct complex problems associated with start-up
* Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that meet customer needs
* Develop ongoing relationships with customers to secure future business, including AMC/CAMC sales and renewals
* Instruct clients on the proper usage and operation of equipment
* Document and maintain clients' service logs
* Prepare reports for product failure analysis and serviceability issues, escalating to relevant engineering teams
* Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, and ensuring rigorous quality control
* Complete all required training and meet individual job requirements to contribute to the overall compliance of the organization
