Job Description:
As the Procurement Business Partner for the Salam programme, you will act as the strategic representative for Procurement across the full Salam Support Solution (SSS) contract portfolio. You will coordinate on-contract requirements, future demand, and key supplier interfaces while working closely with UK and KSA Procurement teams. You will provide significant responsibility, supporting senior reviews, shaping procurement strategy, and enabling successful delivery of business targets across SSS and wider KSA programmes.
Core duties:
* Support operational procurement activity for on-contract SSS requirements, handle multi-faceted issues and ensuring key deliverables are achieved, including full bid lifecycle management
* Direct future SSS demand activity, overseeing sourcing, strategic planning, pricing negotiations, and contracting terms and conditions
* Act as the primary Procurement interface for SSS, facilitating Programme stakeholders and coordinating requirements across Procurement teams
* Oversee Procurement and Supply Chain risk inputs for SSS across programme reviews and KSA-wide risk forums
* Travel to suppliers and Saudi Arabia as required to support reviews, relationship maintenance, and programme delivery
Essential Skills:
* Negotiation experience, including pricing discussions and contractual terms and conditions, supported by a considerable procurement background
* Detailed understanding and experience of supplier risk and opportunity management and reporting.
* Ability to compile data, interpret it, and propose recommendations through reports and presentations, with a focus on continuously improving these processes
* Experience handling the full lifecycle of a bid, including involvement in large bids and understanding the Procurement process for clearing prices
The Salam Procurement Team:
The team supports the delivery of the Salam Support Solution, working across UK and Saudi Arabia to oversee strategic suppliers, future demand, and programme performance. They operate in a multi-faceted, fast-moving environment, partnering closely with Programme, Commercial, Engineering, Finance and Quality teams to enable successful delivery.
