What's the Role?
Bloomberg Tax is seeking an Analyst to join the Domestic Tax team. The Analyst will primarily be responsible for preparing Federal and State & Local income tax returns for Bloomberg, consulting on tax-related manners and assisting in federal, state and local authority inquiry response.
We'll trust you to:
* Prepare Federal tax returns for partnerships and corporations
* Prepare State & Local Income tax returns including pass through entity and composite tax
* Calculate tax provisions, true-ups and tax disclosures in financial reports to ensure compliance with ASC 740 and FIN 48
* Validate Federal and State Current and Deferred Income Tax Payable Accounts
* Prepare apportionment factors for state income tax calculations
* Participate in tax consulting matters and assist on responses to the IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested
* Collaborate on process improvements and innovation
You'll Need to Have:
* 2-4 years of Federal and State & Local income tax experience
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel modeling and spreadsheet usage skills
* Demonstrable examples of operating independently and taking initiative on tasks
* Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of an organization
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
We'd love to see:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; MBA or MS in Taxation
* CPA or CPA exam parts passed
* Experience with CorpTax software (tax provision and compliance) and Alteryx

Salary Range = 95,000 - 115,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
