Division: Datacom & Specialty Solutions

Reports To: Senior Product Manager

Supervises: Product Engineers, Process Engineers, Process Technicians (as coach)

Primary Purpose

Apply principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics to develop and optimize chemical processes for epoxy application and chemical cleaning. Design and improve large-scale manufacturing processes, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and drive cost-effective solutions for production.

Key Responsibilities

* Research and develop new and improved manufacturing processes for epoxy applications.
* Establish and enforce safety procedures for handling hazardous chemicals.
* Design cost-saving chemical processes for new and existing applications.
* Conduct tests and monitor chemical process performance throughout production.
* Troubleshoot epoxy application and cleaning process issues.
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations (EHS) for equipment and processes.
* Estimate production costs for chemical materials and provide recommendations to management.

Scope

* Develop and implement safety procedures for chemical handling.
* Troubleshoot and resolve epoxy and cleaning process issues.
* Evaluate equipment and processes for compliance with EHS standards.
* Conduct research and testing to improve epoxy and material cleaning processes.

Qualifications

Education:

* Required: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
* Preferred: Practical experience through cooperative engineering programs or structured internships

Experience:

* Required: Minimum 3 years as a chemical or epoxy engineer
* Preferred: Hands-on experience in epoxy application and manufacturing

* Ingenuity: Apply broad chemical engineering concepts to solve specific production challenges.
* Interpersonal Skills: Build strong relationships with production teams to implement solutions effectively.

* Preferred:
* Familiarity with advanced epoxy technologies and process optimization tools.
