Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Business Partner Export Control & Sanctions EMEA to act as a trusted interface and advisor for the regions. In this role, you support Export Control Coordinators and the central Export Control Department with complex international topics, contributing your strong local and global export control expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Regional interface: Act as the primary point of contact for export control and sanctions topics across the EMEA region and ensure effective communication between regional teams and the Export Control Department.
* Advisory support: Support and advise Export Control Coordinators and internal stakeholders on complex and non-standard export control and sanctions matters.
* Business partner screening: Support the screening of existing and new business partners with regard to final destination, end-use and applicable international sanctions lists.
* Product & technology classification: Assist in the classification of products, equipment and technology in line with national and international dual-use regulations.
* Project support: Advise and support project teams on business activities involving embargoed countries or sensitive customers and suppliers, including products, equipment, software and technology.
* Knowledge sharing: Maintain and share expertise on local and international export control and sanctions regulations within the organization.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering or a related field
* Several years of international experience in import/export, trade compliance and export control
* Proven expertise in export control and sanctions compliance
* Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented mindset
* Very good communication and advisory skills
* Fluent English and German skills (written and spoken)
* Additional experience in related areas such as Law or Economics
* Experience in international business projects and escalation or crisis situations
* Knowledge of IT systems related to export control and sanctions
