About the role

The Culinary Chef will be responsible for transforming market insights, sensory expertise, and technical knowledge into culinary prototyping, ingredient applications, customer presentations, and innovative concept development. This role will collaborate closely with R&D, Innovation, Marketing, Commercial, and Sensory teams to co-create solutions aligned with Kerry's portfolio.

Key responsibilities

Culinary Development & Applications
*  Create, develop, and optimize recipes, prototypes, and culinary applications using Kerry ingredients (flavors, functional systems, coatings, preservation solutions, etc.).
*  Prepare technical tastings for customers and internal stakeholders.
*  Apply advanced culinary techniques with a focus on QSR, foodservice, and food manufacturing.
*  Conduct bench tests, frying, baking, coating, texture development, and various thermal processes.
Innovation & Trends
*  Connect global and regional trends to the creation of innovative culinary concepts for new products.
*  Participate in Innovation Days, workshops, and co-creation sessions with customers.
*  Contribute to category roadmaps with culinary insights, flavor pairing knowledge, and consumer preferences.

Technical Support & Collaboration
*  Partner with food scientists, technologists, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure technical and sensory alignment in project deliveries.
*  Attend project briefings, meetings, and sensory evaluations.
*  Support customers during pilots, presentations, and culinary activations.

Culinary Lab Operations
*  Maintain the culinary lab and kitchen organized, stocked, and in compliance with food safety and EHS standards.
*  Manage supplies, equipment, and utensils.

Qualifications and skills

Education
*  Degree in Gastronomy / Culinary Arts or related areas (required).
*  Additional certifications or technical training in food science, culinary processes, or advanced professional cooking are a plus.
Experience
*  Previous experience in product development, restaurants, foodservice, food industry, or culinary consulting.
*  Experience with QSR, frying systems, coatings, desserts, snacks, or industrial categories is desirable.
Technical Skills
*  Strong mastery of both traditional and modern culinary techniques.
*  Knowledge of thermal processes, protein preparation, coating systems, desserts and/or bakery applications (depending on category).
*  Ability to translate culinary concepts into technical requirements.
*  Intermediate/advanced English.
