FP&A Digital Lead
Amsterdam
FP&A Digital Lead will take a senior role in leading FPA's digital strategy with the rest of data, reporting & department leadership and execute the vision and directions for the digital internal reporting products and predictive modeling & forecasting via Data Science initiatives. You will be responsible for delivering reporting and analytical solutions by gathering requirements and understanding evolving business needs, identifying opportunities to improve user-experience and adopting strategy for business rollout. You will take ownership of planning, resourcing, and delivering the roadmap for current and future data reporting products and services for critical business teams across organizations.
We are looking for someone passionate about driving digital services through effective data management, data science expertise, to turn large and complex data sets into clear and actionable insight, streamline internal scattered reporting and develop clearer ways of visualizing the most important metrics and trends. To proactively seek fresh insight and opportunity, to develop and manage governance around data collection, data management & reporting for the digital reporting & analytics FP&A function as it relates to, but not limited to. You can lead a team in creating great BI digital products that enhance and synergise our understanding of business stakeholders and their needs across the complex organizational setup.
He or She understands that information and data are key business assets and operationalizes the application of digital & data science initiatives in order to deliver agreed KPIs, forecasting metrics & reporting. FP&A digital lead will also support businesses to navigate through the new cloud based data landscape and connect multiple stakeholders to realize FP&A & Finance business reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
* Developing, managing, and updating our digital analytics strategy
* Guiding our BI and data science team to collect, transform, and process statistical & transactional data and translate it into actionable insights & predictive models ready for business consumption
* Develop a deep understanding of the current and future customer needs across all areas of the business - and how those needs interact with our digital roadmaps
* Work with the FP&A Data product & engineering leads, Machine Learning teams and other senior data stakeholders across organization to clarify scope, dependencies and prioritize requirements to execute department digital roadmap & Data Science initiatives such as Forecasting optimisation etc
* Partner with centralized data and engineering teams to manage necessary data pipelines, QA digital data sets to ensure accuracy, and build data models for other analysts to use or to feed data visualization tools
* Gauging the effectiveness of our current analytics tools, machine learning models and solutions, pinpointing improvement areas, and suggesting alternatives
* Prioritize and communicate initiatives with key stakeholders on a regular basis to ensure that all projects and existing functionality are moving towards our defined OKRs.
* Collect and understand the business data requirements for products and services by translating them into well defined epics, user stories and acceptance criteria
* Gather, analyze, and report on digital usage, quality, data flows to benchmark and measure the performance of the digital products. Striving to continuously improve end user digital product consumption experience.
* Ensure that the appropriate solution design, data governance, compliance and resilience is built into solutions.
* Manage relationships with our Reporting & Analytics vendors, scope and negotiate contracts for existing or new tools and services
* Think strategically and identify areas where analytics and data can make a significant impact for business
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in leading & executing digital BI teams to deliver roadmaps to enhance business experience and consumptions
* Have great organizational skills, able to manage and deliver complex products and projects simultaneously and are able to flex when plans change.
* Rich experience of improving reporting visualizations, user experience, machine learning services and data models - working closely with engineers and architects to design and deliver scalable digital solutions.
* Proven experience in setting up data science & predictive analytics from scratch in any function and help business to use predictive models for efficient gains and increased values
* Strong communication skills - be able to communicate with the business at all levels and across disciplines - data specific, technical and non-technical. Being able to write clear and concise product goals, requirements, status updates and product results.
* Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and influencing skills - able to bring diverse stakeholders together to agree and move forward with an approach or plan.
* Proficient in working within an Agile product-based organization with good organizational and project management skills.
* Be highly analytical and methodical in your approach to problem solving, with a track record in developing methodologies to measure the delivery of data products that drive better decisions and understanding.
* Comfortable querying data and performing analysis independently when required.
* Understanding on data science technologies, methodology to provide technical and functional directions to team of senior Machine learning scientists & engineers
Desirable Skills
* Good understanding of data management principles & best practices
* Working experience in wide technology ecosystems from cloud based platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, to open source Kafka, Hadoop to reporting tools MicroStrategy, Excels, Tableau
* Understanding the use of monitoring and analytical tools to improve performance
* Deep understanding of e-commerce/financial planning and travel business models.
