* Requesting commodity-specific parts lists to ensure competitive procurement in compliance with procurement processes/guidelines.
* Supporting the respective Global Commodity Manager in establishing/maintaining a sustainable supplier base and implementing the commodity strategy, considering project/region-specific requirements.
* Maintaining an optimal group of suppliers for the production site to ensure long-term partnerships and a competitive and marketable purchasing policy.
* Purchasing technically/technologically sophisticated drawing parts, components, and the associated tools, considering cost, quality, and deadline considerations. Independently planning and conducting the associated price negotiations.
* Working in project teams worldwide with cross-functional purchasing responsibilities.
* Developing, negotiating, and finalizing the contractual framework conditions. Drafting development and supply contracts.
* Independent planning and implementation of project handover to Global Commodity Purchasing at production sites worldwide.
* Support and review of annual budget planning monthly for defined commodities.
* Preparation of all necessary documents for the procurement conference and team recommendation for the procurement decision, as well as its implementation for new products or changes.
* Ensuring commodity-specific budget planning in cooperation with the respective Global Commodity Manager
* Support of complaint management in the defined commodities.
* Initiating and collaborating on value analysis projects.
* Collaborating on make-or-buy decisions.
* Complying with and ensuring adherence to the respective QS-guidelines and the company's environmental protection policy.
* Responsibility for providing adequate training for new employees.
* Preparing preliminary calculations for sales quotations
* Supporting sales by providing market information in cooperation with the Procurement Project Manager regarding reference quotations, material prices, market trends, etc.
* Commercia or Techincall education (University degree)
* Experience in purchasing, ideally in the automotive industry
* Strong communication skills
* Very good English and German skills
* Negotiation skills
* Technical understanding
* Knowledge of materials and material science
* Willingness to travel
* Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 requirements
