Job Description:

We are looking for a: Estimating Specialist who is available for an indicative period of two years in the UK, before returning to one of Leonardo Italia's sites.

Site: Torino Corso Francia

Responsibilities:

The role holder will be responsible for owning and generating cost estimates for the JV and working with the relevant functions to align on generating a Customer proposal.

Accountabilities include (but are not limited to):
* Creation and compilation of complex cost/price estimates for bids and existing contracts in line with business and estimating processes;
* Ensure that all estimates are robust and are produced within planned timescales;
* Ensuring correct pricing assumptions are applied, all bought out costs are accounted for and validated and the risk level has been assessed and costed for accordingly;
* Populate and maintain the cost model for the estimate, ensuring the data stays current and in line with the scope of work;
* Liaise with other functions to manage any scope changes driven by internal or external factors, which may affect the estimate;
* Support internal business processes such as Lifecycle Management and Tender Vet Process;
* Provide support to future initiatives and Contract Management activities e.g. budgeting and future cost forecasting;
* Utilise modern toolsets for data generation and analysis.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:
* Experience in a commercial role - specific estimating;
* Mathematical & Analytic reasoning experience;
* Experience with the software/technologies and data analysis used in estimating, MS Excel;
* Experience with pricing models, bid proposals, and cost forecasting;
* Understanding of different contract types and pricing methodologies.

Desirable:
* Financial analysis experience;
* Critical thinking and creativity skills;
* Use of: SEER parametric software, PRICE Trueplanning, Predict! Risk Analyser;
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
