Amazon is currently looking for a proactive and result-oriented Finance Manager to become a major contributor to our Accounting team based in Luxembourg and to focus on financial reporting and compliance, including incoming sustainability reporting requirements in Europe. Key job responsibilities
- Prepare or review statutory financial statements under local GAAPs.
- Prepare and review various deliverables to support both internal and external financial and sustainability reporting needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders.
- Transform accounting data into actionable insights that drive innovation.
- Identify, develop, and implement scalable process improvements using automation and AI-powered tools.
- Participate in European and global projects to advance, integrate and implement sustainability disclosure requirements in European subsidiaries' financial statements by acting as a subject matter expert and providing accounting and financial reporting guidance.
- Review and evaluate the accounting and financial reporting implications related to sustainability reporting matters.
- Monitor regulatory developments in sustainability reporting and sharing knowledge and awareness with other Amazon accounting teams.
- Collaborate globally with internal Sustainability, Accounting, Finance, Legal and Technology teams.
- Lead and deliver complex, large-scale projects in a fast-moving, international, high-growth environment.
- Continuously enhance your skills by working with advanced finance technologies and global best practices

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of current sustainability regulatory developments in Europe and internationally (e.g. CSRD/ISSB)
- Substantial experience in end-to-end financial reporting processes, including a strong understanding of statutory filings, internal controls, audits and their related requirements
- Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS
- Extensive experience in leading end-to-end accounting cycles, managing audits, and navigating multi-jurisdictional reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms; leveraging automation tools and AI to improve processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to turn accounting data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Hands-on experience with advanced finance technologies, AI-driven analytics, and process automation
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Professional accounting certification
