About the Role
This role sits at the heart of Diageo's vibrant Leven packaging site, one of our most dynamic global hubs. Here, we package an incredible portfolio of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits, and ready-to-drink favourites that reach over 170 countries. Leven is not just a key manufacturing site within the Scotch supply category, it's a place where innovation, collaboration, and world-class craftsmanship come to life every day.
Serving as a Production Engineer focused on mechanical systems, you'll be a driving force behind the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of our mechanical assets. Your expertise will keep our lines running smoothly, your curiosity will spark meaningful improvements, and your influence will help shape a more resilient and efficient future for the site.

What you'll be leading and contributing to:
* Collaborating across teams: Partner with operations, CAPEX, and other maintenance groups to elevate performance, unlock improvements, and champion multi-functional success.
* Delivering flawless maintenance: Collaborate with operational teams to plan and review mandatory and requested maintenance tasks. Complete these activities with minimal disruption and ensure parts are available.
* Enhancing asset performance: Create, implement, and refine maintenance programs that help our equipment run at its very best, empowering teams and optimising utilization.
* Responding with confidence: Jump into action when plant issues arise, tackling breakdowns with a calm, solutions-focused attitude to minimise downtime and keep momentum on track.
* Sharing insights: Use SAP to report maintenance outcomes and contribute to the sharing of guidelines, helping to strengthen knowledge and capability across the site.
* Championing safety and quality: Uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and quality, leading by example and ensuring every action reflects our values and our commitment to excellence.
Health and safety aren't just priorities, they're woven into the way we work. In this role, you'll be a trusted guardian of both, ensuring we meet and exceed site and personal KPIs while encouraging a culture where everyone feels supported, empowered, and proud to work safely.

We would love to hear from you if you:
* Are a time-served mechanical engineer with strong technical capability, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced maintenance or manufacturing environment.
* Hold an HNC-level engineering qualification, or have equivalent experience, and demonstrate a strong understanding of reliability maintenance techniques, data analysis, and the use of systems such as SAP, Excel, and other business applications.
* Have proven knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
* Have experience within a production or similar environment, although this is preferred rather than essential.
* Take a collaborative approach, with the confidence to make effective decisions when needed.
* Have a passion for solving problems and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
* Bring natural curiosity and an innovative mindset, putting forward new ideas, championing improvements, and being motivated by making a meaningful difference to manufacturing excellence.

Working with Us
We recognise and value performance, offering our people a highly competitive Rewards and Benefits package including:
* Contemporary work life balance policies and wellbeing activities
* Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family
* Contributary pension scheme
* Product allowance
* On site gym or gym discounts
* On site parking
* Share options
* 6-months paid parental leave
* 25 days' annual leave + bank holidays

Our purpose is to celebrate life, every day, everywhere. And creating an inclusive culture, where everyone feels valued and that they can belong, is a crucial part of this.
We embrace diversity in the broadest possible sense. This means that you'll be welcomed and celebrated for who you are just by being you. You'll be part of and help build and champion an inclusive culture that celebrates people of different gender, ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation, social class, educational backgrounds, experiences, mindsets, and more.
Our ambition is to create the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world. Join us and help transform our business as we take our brands to new heights and build new ones as part of shaping the next generation of celebrations for consumers around the world.

Feel inspired? Then this may be the opportunity for you.
