We are recruiting for a COO Delivery & Performance Manager to join our Chief Operating Officer's team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong experience in business management and has worked in a COO/CTO office, PMO, or strategy roles.
With a global remit spanning operations, transformation, and IT, our COO team ensures an exceptional client experience. Whether it's optimising key processes, managing relationships with strategic partners, launching innovative new products, or onboarding clients seamlessly, every project is an opportunity to drive efficiency and innovation at scale.
A bit about the role:
The COO Delivery & Performance Manager plays a pivotal role in driving delivery discipline, performance transparency and execution momentum across the COO function. Working closely with the COO, this role ensures priorities are clearly defined, plans are cohesive, progress is measurable and risks are identified early, enabling strong visibility and control across technology, transformation, operations and outsourced services.
Acting as a central point of orchestration, the role aligns activity to strategic intent, strengthens delivery cadence and supports consistent performance management across internal teams and third-party partners. Responsibilities include supporting the development and execution of the function's strategy, priorities and three-year plan; leading the annual operating plan and budget process across Operations, Technology and Transformation; partnering with Finance to set and track delivery against the financial plan; improving analysis and modelling of third-party costs; monitoring performance through dashboards, scorecards and executive updates; coordinating the COO Leadership Team's agenda, meetings and offsites; maintaining the organisation's wind-down planning process; and running the COO Leadership Team operating rhythm, including escalation and resolution of critical issues to ensure timely, informed decision-making.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
* Ability to bring together complex information from multiple sources and communicate it clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
* Experience in financial and budget management, whether through ownership of a cost centre or supporting the delivery of large, multimillionpound programmes, with a focus on forecasting and delivery.
* Good understanding of operational environments, technology governance, and transformation approaches within large or complex organisations.
* Knowledge of the Investment Management industry, including custodial and pooled fund structures, alongside an awareness of relevant regulatory requirements.
* Experience contributing to, or working within, largescale transformation initiatives or technology modernisation programmes.
What you'll get for this role:
Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow - is a promise we make to our colleagues too. And one of the ways we live up to that promise is by investing in you. We have so much to offer when it comes to being an Aviva colleague:

* Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
* Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 annual volunteering days to help others.
