We are looking for a Communications Manager to join our Defence team in Reading and lead the development and delivery of integrated marketing and communications activity.
This is a strategic and hands on role, responsible for translating business priorities into impactful communications campaigns that support growth, strengthen client relationships, and enhance brand positioning. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes across multiple channels.
You'll be responsible for:
* Developing and delivering an annual marketing and communications strategy aligned to business objectives.
* Leading the end-to-end delivery of integrated campaigns, from planning through to execution, measurement, and optimisation.
* Supporting strategic bids and capture plans with targeted marketing and communications activity.
* Managing account-based marketing (ABM) for key strategic clients.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, clients, and external partners.
* Collaborating across communications functions (PR, internal communications, campaigns, and digital) to deliver aligned activity.
* Using market insights and analysis to inform strategy and identify opportunities.
* Partnering with digital and creative teams to deliver impactful, content-led campaigns.
* Using data, reporting, and dashboards to measure performance and continuously improve outcomes.
* Managing budgets to ensure effective allocation of spend and return on investment.
* Acting as a brand ambassador, ensuring all communications align with brand guidelines and strengthen market positioning.
You'll need to have:
* Proven experience in a marketing and/or communications role within a professional service, construction, infrastructure, or built environment.
* Demonstrated experience developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns.
* Experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders.
* Strong planning and budget management capability.
* Experience supporting bids, business development, or client engagement activity.
* A data driven approach, with experience using insights and analytics to inform decisions.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
* Commercial awareness and focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
