Physical Security Manager
Glasgow or Prenton (flexible working/hybrid)
Salary from £55,200 + up to 15% bonus, single cover private medical & other excellent benefits

Working with us within the Physical Security, Resilience and Fire Team, the Security Manager has a critical role in supporting the growth of the ScottishPower business. You'll be responsible for providing threat and risk assessments, on all aspects of Physical Security. You'll protect personnel, operations and assets to ensure the safety and attainment of appropriate security controls. You'll monitor the wider threat environment, assess the physical security controls of our assets, support continuous improvement and mitigate security related risks through detailed action and requirements reporting.

Liaising closely with relevant local and national Government, Police, commercial bodies, stakeholders and agencies you will maintain an effective knowledge of the cutting edge, integrated technical security capabilities, risk terrain and strengthen the culture of security within the organisation.

What you'll be doing
The Security Manager manages the risk assessment protocols, effectively managing threats against ScottishPower, maintaining compliance with local and national laws and regulations, including those relating to Health and Safety.

In collaboration with the Corporate Security Team, you will support the Physical Security Assurance Program and wider organisation in new ventures and developments across an expanding operating base.
As Security Manager, you will be responsible for identification, assessment and analysis of Physical Security risk data as well as taking an active role in the development of operational requirements and best value security controls. A key skillset will be the ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships as engagement with multiple specialist key stakeholders is essential.

Investigate and manage reporting into serious security incidents, reporting factually and designing preventative security strategies. Lead on incident management of serious security incidents to successful conclusions. Support significant events through effective planning, deployment and delivery.

This is a key role within Corporate Security, and you will be required to work closely with the wider team across Resilience, Data Protection, Cyber Security and Fire Management to identify and resolve issues creating and maintaining an effective security culture within the organisation in line with the Corporate Security Policy.

What you'll bring
As a minimum, you will bring:
* Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will need hold or have the ability to attain and retain a UK NSV clearance - You will need to have lived continuously in the United Kingdom for a period of 5 years before being eligible to meet the Minimum Residency Criteria
* Demonstrate experience in the assessment and management of security risk
* Specialist knowledge of Physical Security technical systems and process
* Experience in similar roles with suitable evidence of successful attainment
* Excellent communications and influencing skills
* Proven experience in crime prevention, experience in designing out crime or similar
* Experience in Security Incident Management
* Investigative experience

Special Criteria
* The successful candidate must be able to obtain UK Government Security Clearance
* The successful candidate must have and hold a full UK Driving license
* The successful candidate must be willing to achieve Authorised Person status under ScottishPower 5th Edition, Safety Rules
