Position Description:
As a Summer Student on the Modern Workplace team, you will contribute to analysis and transformation initiatives that span CGI's Modern Workplace ecosystem, including Device Management & Engineering and Managed Modern Contact Center Services.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
* Learning CGI's Modern Workplace services, delivery models, and client use cases
* Analyzing how devices, support services, data, and user experience interact across the workplace lifecycle
* Identifying opportunities where AI, analytics, and automation can improve service delivery, operational efficiency, or user experience
* Working in short, Agile-style iterations to deliver incremental "quick wins" such as insights, analyses, visualizations, or concept prototypes
* Contributing to documentation, findings, and recommendations that support service evolution and continuity
* Preparing and delivering presentations or demos to the Modern Workplace team and internal executives
* Creating clear handoff documentation and roadmaps to enable future student cohorts to continue the work
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
* Currently enrolled in a third- or fourth-year post-secondary program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering Technology, Programming & Development or a related field (University, college, and polytechnic programs are all welcome)
* Coursework or demonstrated interest in AI, data analysis, automation, or analytics
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in applying AI to real-world services and systems
* Ability to work with ambiguity and structure open-ended problems into clear outcomes
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications
* Exposure to or interest in one or more of the following:
o Cloud platforms or modern IT services
o Data analysis, dashboards, or visualization tools
o Automation or scripting concepts
o Service design, customer or employee experience, or IT operations
* Familiarity with Agile concepts or iterative ways of working
* Interest in enterprise technology, security, or managed services
* Professional Attributes
* Curious and self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn
* Results-oriented, with an interest in delivering tangible outcomes
* Comfortable presenting ideas and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Organized, with the ability to clearly document work for reuse and continuity
Education
* Post-secondary education in progress (third or fourth year) with a focus on Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Programming & Development or a related discipline
Equivalent applied experience, academic projects, or prior co-op/internship experience will be considered an asset.
