The Product Management function of TMX Datalinx is responsible for ideating, developing, and executing on products and product strategies that will defend and grow revenue. This includes identifying the global addressable markets, gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, leading a seamless development process across stakeholders, designing compelling pricing, packaging, and distribution strategies, and working closely with technology, marketing, legal and sales teams in execution and delivery. TMX Datalinx Product Managers have revenue responsibility for the products in their portfolio.

The intern will work closely with the Global Corporate and Reference Data team, in particular the Fixed Income and Corporate Actions product managers. The two main goals of the internship are:

1. Business Intelligence & Visualization - turn stale data into actionable insights that promote our brand and drive revenue
2. Automation & Scripting - this will remove manual and repetitive processes, while still ensuring data integrity

This role reports to: Director, Corporate Reference & Valuations Data

This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.

Key Accountabilities:

Fixed Income Data
* Automation of monthly fixed income trading data statistics and posting to Quicksight
* Generation of Issuance/Maturity Waterfall and automate code to update monthly and post to Quicksight
* Automation and posting to Quicksight of Government of Canada Cash trades vs. Futures in support of MX team
* Evaluation of what we can do with the Terms & Conditions data currently maintained in PDF documents as we now have those centralized
* Automate monthly graphs, charts and commentary email based on monthly summary statistics
* Write code to automatically search daily Fixed Income Trade Data (FITD) - Corporate Bonds and FITD - Provincial Bonds daily files and where Coupon or Notional are missing then populate our Reference Google sheet with details and search for missing details

Security Master and Corporate Actions
* Create the MVP version of our Unified corporate actions offering - Review CDS corporate actions data loaded into EDP (bulletins + entitlements) and develop requirements to normalize, standardize data used to merge into a Golden Copy
* Create a shareable AWS Quicksight dashboard providing insights from CDS Corporate actions (bulletins + entitlements) data loaded into EDP
* Create a shareable AWS Quicksight dashboard providing longitudinal insights from CDS Security Master

Must have(s):
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field
* Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL
* Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Quicksight) is a significant asset.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Nice to have(s):
* Data lakes/warehouses (Snowflake) is a plus

* 4 month Co-op / Internship: May 4, 2026 - August 28, 2026
* In order to be considered for the position, you are required to submit your Knockri Assessment

​Salary Range: 25/hour-28/hour CAD
