Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What You'll Build
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP's global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it's the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position title: SAP iXp Intern - SCM & AI Innovation
Location: New York, NY
Expected start date: June/July 2026
Duration: 3-6 Months
Schedule: 40 HR/week
SAP's SCM Solution Advisory team helps the world's largest companies reimagine their supply chains. Inside that team is a growing AI community - and we need someone who can help it scale.
As our SCM AI Intern, you'll research, build, and share knowledge that keeps a global team of Solution Advisors sharp on AI. You'll produce real deliverables - use case libraries, community content, AI demos, competitive briefs - used every day by people who sit in front of customers. This is not a shadow-and-observe role.
Responsibilities may include:
* Scale AI Knowledge Across the Team: Research, synthesize, and package AI developments in SCM into crisp, reusable content - briefings, cheat sheets, enablement decks - that help Solution Advisors engage on AI with confidence.
* Build the SCM AI Use Case Library: Map SAP AI capabilities (Joule, AI agents, embedded intelligence) to concrete scenarios across the Design to Operate journey. Make them structured, searchable, and ready to use in front of customers.
* Power the AI Community of Practice: Support the SCM AI community: track best practices, compile peer insights, and keep the team connected to what's moving in enterprise AI - inside SAP and across the industry.
* Drive AI Demos & Proof-of-Concepts: Help build POCs that bring SCM AI scenarios to life - predictive maintenance, intelligent field dispatch, demand sensing, IoT-connected asset monitoring.
* Research & Competitive Intelligence: Track the SCM AI landscape - SAP roadmap, competitors, academic trends. Synthesize findings into crisp team-facing briefings that keep the advisory team one step ahead.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
* Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field. Graduating Seniors/2nd Year Masters highly desirable
* Preferred Majors: Supply Chain, Engineering, CS, Business, or related field
* Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor's, master's or JD/PhD program.
* Sharp analytical mind: you turn complex topics into clear, actionable content
* Strong writer - people actually read what you produce
* Self-starter with real curiosity about AI in industrial and operational settings
* Comfortable with research, synthesis, and building from scratch
* Bonus: coursework in AI/ML, operations research, or supply chain systems
* Bonus: hands-on with LLMs, Copilot, or similar tools
What You'll Leave With
* Mastery of SAP's end-to-end SCM AI portfolio across Design to Operate
* A front-row view of how enterprise AI is positioned and adopted at global scale
* Real ownership - your work is used by advisors talking to customers every day
* Direct mentorship from deep SCM domain experts
A professional network inside one of the world's most influential tech companies.
Where You Belong
Be part of SAP Next Gen, a global community for students, universities, schools and educational partners, who are passionate about innovation and technology.
* Culture of Collaboration: Partner with experienced SAP colleagues and expert mentors who will support your growth. Grow professionally through personalized mentoring, coaching, and career development support.
* Project-driven Experience: Kickstart your career with hands-on learning experience, making an impact from day one by contributing to meaningful projects that help the world run better. You'll have endless learning resources at your fingertips and gain future-ready skills from a variety of virtual, in-person, and hybrid learning sessions, cultivated just for you, and aligned with our learning approach.
