Smith+Nephew is seeking a highly motivated Global Marketing Intern to join our Robotics team for the summer, supporting the evolution of our Robotics Procedural portfolio and its integration and delivery of launch excellence.
This role will allow an enthusiastic individual to work closely with the Robotics Procedural Global Marketing team and cross-functional stakeholders to explore how and when to best engage orthopedic surgeons and clinical teams during the robotics sales, implementation, and adoption lifecycle. While the project will leverage the momentum of the specific indication expansion efforts, all outputs will be designed to apply broadly across robotics indications and future launches.
This role offers exceptional exposure to surgeons, cadaveric labs, medical and sales education events, and the real-world commercialization of advanced surgical technology. The position will be based in Pittsburgh, PA.
What will you be doing?
* Support Launch Excellence strategy development for robotics product launches
* Define key engagement stages across the surgeon and account adoption journey
* Map out and evaluate current education and engagement offerings (Sales Education, Medical Education, Marketing)
* Engage directly with:
* Internal cross-functional stakeholders
* Orthopedic surgeons during CORI HIP Summative Usability labs
* Synthesize large amounts of qualitative input into clear, actionable frameworks for launches of Robotic applications into specific markets

What will you need to be successful?
Education:
* Currently pursuing enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree (Business, Marketing, Engineering, Biomedical, Health Sciences, or related field)
Competencies:
* Tech-savvy, with a strong interest in medical technology, robotics, or innovation
* Comfortable interacting directly with orthopedic surgeons and clinical professionals
* Demonstrates confidence and professionalism in customer-facing settings
* Highly organized and able to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment and under pressure
* Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information into clear guidelines and tools
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
