Data Science Internship: Improvement Engineering

As part of the Improvement Engineering group, you will help turn data into actionable insights that drive sustainability. Your assignment

You will work on data-driven solutions that support engineering activities and improve processes. Your main responsibilities will be:
* Collect and update enterprise data and convert it into business-friendly formats.
* Build and maintain ETL (extract, transform, load) processes.
* Communicate updated data to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
* Support development of automation and machine learning solutions to enhance efficiency.
* Maintain dashboards and reports to enable continuous improvement.
This is a master's apprentice internship for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of January or February 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:
* Are enrolled in a master's degree in AI, data science, analytics, computer science, or a related field.
* Have experience with Python and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, Mendix or Alteryx.
* Understand ETL processes and basic machine learning concepts.
* Are analytical, proactive, and collaborative in a multicultural environment.
* Communicate effectively and enjoy working with diverse stakeholders.

Other requirements you need to meet:
* You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
* Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
* You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
* If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
