Project Title:
Development of Data-Driven Tool Installation and Qualification Tracking and Visualisation Platform
Project Description:
This project focuses on the development of a data-driven tracking and visualisation solution to enhance visibility of tool installation and qualification progress in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
The intern will study the overall lifecycle of equipment installation and qualification, and design a prototype platform that illustrates key milestones, timelines, and readiness indicators. The project emphasises learning through data analysis, visualisation, and structured problem-solving within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
Objective of the project:
To design and develop a prototype tracking and visualisation solution that improves understanding of equipment installation and qualification progress, enabling better planning and monitoring of manufacturing readiness.
Project Scope:
* Study the lifecycle of tool installation and qualification, including key milestones and readiness indicators
* Design and develop a prototype dashboard or visualisation platform to illustrate progress and timelines
* Analyse sample datasets to identify trends, bottlenecks, and cycle time patterns
* Apply data visualisation techniques to represent equipment readiness, dependencies, and risks
* Develop standardised templates or workflows to demonstrate improved tracking and reporting approaches
* Document project design, assumptions, and key learning outcomes

Course of Interests:
The ideal candidate should be currently pursuing a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

Minimum 3 - 6 months
