The QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey Immersion Program creates a great opportunity to assess an individual's potential and provides them opportunity to understand if a career in technical consulting is something that they want to pursue after graduation from university.

During the program, you will typically join a client engagement and can contribute to the development of one of our products or R&D project if the opportunity arises. The client engagement work can be across the private, public, and social sectors. You will be placed with teams and will play an active role in all aspects of the engagement.

Your role will entail working in interdisciplinary teams consisting of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Designers, Software Engineers and McKinsey experts to solve problems by connecting real world business questions to machine learning methods.

You will support our client services lead, identify business hypotheses and metrics and have the opportunity to define and drive the analytical scope and method for projects, including formulating and shaping the models.

Other responsibilities:

* You will use math, stats and machine learning to derive key insights across various industry sectors
* Write highly optimized code
* Develop world-class data science products for clients as well as for our data science team
* Apply your exceptional academic background to develop and apply machine learning methods to improve and optimize our clients' performance needs
* Develop prompt engineering strategies, RAG optimization, etc, if involved in Generative AI engagements
* Collaborating with other members of the team to help developing complex Data science code and algorithms
* Participate in team stand-up, client meetings and problem-solving sessions

You be based in Singapore, Thailand or Indonesia and will be part of the QuantumBlack Immersion Program for a duration of 8-10 weeks

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

* University students in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent experience with expected graduation date in 2026 or 2027
* Experience applying machine learning and data mining techniques to real problems with copious amounts of data in professional setting (for example, internship) would be considered a plus
* Programming (focus on machine learning): Python (must), SQL, PySpark (valued)
* Exposure to prototype statistical analysis and modeling algorithms and applying these algorithms for data driven solutions to problems in new domains will be beneficial
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with the ability to develop creative and efficient solutions
* Good presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to people from other fields
* Strong command of the English language (both verbal and written)
* Willingness to travel
