Our Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships

Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a university, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships have a typical duration of 3- 6 years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course.

The Opportunity

You will be part of our UK South Climate and Sustainability Group. This group covers all environmental consulting disciplines including Climate, Sustainability, Land and Air Quality, Waste and Resources, Ecology and Heritage

You will have an opportunity to get learning and experience across any / all of these teams (each with different services offerings) with a view to developing into a rounded environmental consultant and ultimately being able to choose your area of environmental speciali sm .

We will support you in gaining work experience, gaining consulting skills and developing workplace and industry relationships alongside your study.

Your day to would be working as part of project teams to deliver projects for our clients. We work on major infrastructure projects (rail, water, aviation etc), new development (e.g. development planning) and also offer advisory / strategic / policy input on projects for government and / or corporate clients.
