JOB TITLE: Junior Finance Assistant

OPPORTUNITY
The Junior Finance Assistant supports the Finance function in a multinational environment by ensuring accurate and timely processing of travel expenses, invoices, and customs-related documentation. The role works closely with JLR Hungary employees, managers, external Finance service provider and external partners, contributing to compliant and efficient financial operations. The role requires a proactive and confident approach when following up with employees and managers to ensure compliance with financial processes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Travel & Expense Administration
* Follow up the employee travel and expense claims to make sure there are no outstanding claims over 30 days
* Act as a first point of contact for employees regarding expense-related questions and system usage
* Monitor outstanding expense items and ensure timely resolution
* Support audits and compliance checks related to travel and expense matters
* In case of an exit of an employee ensure that all the expense claims are submitted and there are no unclosed travel expense claim or any other claim in the system.
Invoice & Accounts Support
* Follow up on incoming invoices with internal stakeholders and external vendors across the different functions
* Support invoice processing activities, including checking accuracy, completeness, and creating GRs if necessary
* Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies in cooperation with the external Finance teams and suppliers
* Ensure invoices are processed on time
Customs Operational Support
* Support customs clearance and import/export-related administrative processes
* Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics providers, and internal supply chain teams if needed
* Ensure proper documentation and follow-up related to international shipments and customs compliance
* Maintain accurate records in line with regulatory and company requirements
General Finance & Operational Support
* Support month-end and year-end closing activities as required
* Assist with ad-hoc reporting and operational finance tasks
* Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement of finance processes in a multinational setting
* During the onboarding week, present the expense claim process to new hired colleagues and order with them the corporate cards properly.
* As a first point of contact with CCHELPDESK approve the corporate cards after order for the newcomers and close them, when somebody leaving the company.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Education & Experience
* Ongoing or completed degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
* Candidates with strong interest in finance or accounting and solid administrative skills are also encouraged to apply - even without a specialized degree
* Up to 2 years of experience in a finance, accounting or administrative role (internship experience is an advantage)
* Basic understanding of accounting and financial processes is an advantage
* Confident user of MS Excel; experience with expense management tools is an advantage
* Ability to work with standardized global processes and systems
Language & Communication
* Fluent in Hungarian
* Good working proficiency in English (used daily in written and verbal communication)
* Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds
Personal Competencies
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong follow-up and organizational skills
* Proactive in identifying errors or gaps in financial submissions and ensuring timely escalation
* Ability to manage routine tasks while handling multiple priorities
