Mission

At ING, we believe in giving people the freedom to grow, explore, and build what matters to them. As a Monitoring Refinancing & Clauses Specialist, you help customers navigate moments of financial difficulty while safeguarding responsible lending and portfolio quality.

You monitor refinancing activities, contractual clauses and collateral updates, while also supporting retail clients with tailored restructuring solutions when unexpected challenges arise. Your work blends analytical thinking, care for customers, and the ability to create sustainable outcomes that support long-term financial health.

About the team

You'll join a collaborative and fast-moving team focused on prevention, customer wellbeing and credit risk reduction. We value curiosity, shared ownership and meaningful action. We support each other, share knowledge openly and approach every case with responsibility, empathy and sound judgement.

It's a space where your financial expertise and people skills genuinely make a difference - for customers, colleagues and ING's long-term stability.

Your day-to-day
In this role, you will:
* Monitor and manage refinancing activities, ensuring timely identification and follow-up of open external refinanced loans.
* Track and administer contractual clauses related to refinancing or restructuring, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
* Instruct and validate updates of collateral and contract data in the bank's systems.
* Manage dedicated mailboxes connected to refinancing monitoring and clause administration.
* Reconcile databases to identify open exposures, inconsistencies or improvement areas.
* Analyse and resolve restructuring or rescheduling requests for customers facing (or at risk of facing) financial difficulties.
* Contact clients in specific cases (via recorded calls) to better understand their situation and propose suitable restructuring solutions.
* Monitor restructuring application flows and alert relevant parties when recovery actions are needed.
* Provide support with correspondence, complaints or debtor-initiated legal actions.
* Ensure compliance with ING regulations, internal policies, the Orange Code and legal requirements.
* Participate in testing, implementation and refinement of processes, systems and projects.
* Identify opportunities to streamline operational flows and contribute to updated internal procedures.
* Support onboarding of new colleagues and offer backup during peak periods.
* Meet agreed productivity, accuracy and quality targets.

What you bring to the team
* Background in credit-related areas such as credit administration, retail credit (re)structuring, credit analysis or similar roles
* Strong understanding of the legal framework and economic environment, with familiarity in local restructuring standards.
* Strong analytical skills, a solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to identify root causes and propose clear actions.
* A positive, trustworthy, flexible and proactive attitude.
* Excellent written communication skills and good English proficiency - able to provide clear, professional responses to customers and internal stakeholders.
* Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with large datasets, perform complex checks and extract insights that support decision-making.
* University degree, preferably in Economics or a related field.

What we offer
* Impactful work in a fun, inclusive and collaborative environment
* Modern office spaces designed for teamwork, creativity and connection
* Monthly benefit budget to use your way
* Extra paid vacation days based on total experience
* Access to ING Learning Centre, Udemy, Bookster, trainings and certifications
* Internal mobility and opportunities for international assignments
* Opportunities to contribute to sustainability and CSR initiatives
