Position Overview

As an Associate Engineer within Deutsche Bank's Cyber Security Office - an integral part of our global Cyber Security Engineering team spanning the UK, US, and Romania - you will join the front lines of protecting our financial ecosystem. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to innovate and master the industry-leading Tanium platform, delivering critical security solutions across an incredibly diverse and complex global endpoint landscape. You will gain hands-on experience securing everything from cutting-edge Linux distributions (Red Hat, Oracle, SLES 15), to specialized systems like Solaris and AIX, alongside all Windows Server and Desktop versions, and macOS. This is your chance to directly contribute to building resilient cyber defenses, working alongside experts to drive advanced threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management at enterprise scale, rapidly accelerating your career in a dynamic and impactful field.

Responsibilities
* Drive the engineering and continuous optimization of the global Tanium platform, ensuring its resilience and peak performance across diverse operating systems.
* Collaborate with senior engineers to design, deploy, and rigorously test innovative Tanium modules, custom sensors, and advanced security packages.
* Execute in-depth data collection and forensic analysis using Tanium, delivering critical intelligence for proactive threat hunting and incident response.
* Develop robust automation scripts (Python, Shell, PowerShell, VBScript) for audit reporting, validating data accuracy, timeliness, and operational effectiveness.
* Diagnose and resolve complex Tanium agent and platform issues across global Windows, Linux, and macOS environments, contributing to system stability.

Skills
* Exhibit a strong passion for cybersecurity, with a proactive drive to master Tanium and advanced endpoint security technologies.
* Possess foundational knowledge across diverse operating systems including Windows, macOS, and key Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat, SLES), with an eagerness to learn Solaris and AIX.
* Apply fundamental understanding of networking concepts (e.g., protocols, firewalls) to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
* Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical solutions clearly.
* Show an aptitude for scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Shell, VBScript) and a meticulous attention to detail crucial for data accuracy, documentation, and collaborative team environments.
